Eva Van Steijvoort obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Midwifery (Artesis Hogeschool Antwerpen, 2012) and a Master’s degree in Health Education and Promotion (UGent, 2015). In 2022, she obtained her PhD at the Centre of Biomedical Ethics and Law (KU Leuven) on the ethical and practical challenges regarding the implementation of preconception genetic carrier screening in Belgium. Eva currently holds a post-doctoral mandate at the Centre of Biomedical Ethics and Law (Department of Public Health & Primary Care, KU Leuven). Her current research mainly focuses on the ethical and social aspects of new developments in the field of reproductive & public health.
